Our home base

Mission Beach QLD 4852

Mission Beach is where ACcleanQLD lives and works — a laid-back string of villages (Bingil Bay, Mission, Wongaling, South Mission) tucked between rainforest and reef. It's a humid, salty, cyclone-prone pocket where a well-serviced aircon is the difference between a tolerable summer and a miserable one.

Local details

25 min south

Tully QLD 4854

Tully is famously Australia's wettest town — the giant Golden Gumboot isn't a joke. That much rain and humidity, plus a working farming and sugar-mill town's dust, is a punishing combination for any air conditioner.

Local details

45 min north

Innisfail QLD 4860

Innisfail is the biggest town in the Cassowary Coast region — a working river town with beautiful Art Deco heritage buildings, a strong Italian and South Sea Islander history, and a busy CBD servicing surrounding cane and tropical fruit country.

Local details

30 min north

Kurrimine Beach QLD 4871

Kurrimine Beach is a quiet coastal community famous for its reef walks at low tide and its friendly caravan-park culture. Small permanent population, big seasonal swing when the grey nomads arrive for winter.

45 min south

Cardwell QLD 4849

Cardwell hugs the coast opposite Hinchinbrook Island — a small, spread-out town with a working jetty, a caravan park scene and a long strip of beachfront homes. Still visibly rebuilt from Cyclone Yasi, and residents take aircon reliability seriously.

Local details

15 min inland

El Arish QLD 4855

El Arish is a small, tight-knit soldier-settlement town inland from Mission Beach, surrounded by cane country and rainforest hills. Quiet main street, historic pub, and homes on generous rural blocks.

Local details

30 min north

Silkwood QLD 4856

Silkwood is a small farming town on the Bruce Highway north of Mission Beach, best known for its Italian heritage and the annual Feast of the Three Saints. Cane, bananas and cattle define the surrounding country.
