• Wrong remote setting — sounds silly, but 'Fan', 'Dry' or a temperature setting above room temp all produce warm air.

Quick Checks You Can Safely Do Yourself

Before you book, run through this 5-minute checklist:

1. Set the remote to Cool (snowflake) at 22°C or lower.
2. Pop the front panel of the indoor unit and check the filters — if they're grey with dust, wash them out.
3. Walk outside and confirm the condenser (outdoor box) is running and the fan is spinning.
4. Clear anything within 60cm of the outdoor unit — leaves, garden growth, storage.
5. Check your switchboard for a tripped breaker.

If cool air still won't come through after all that, the problem is inside the sealed refrigeration circuit or the electrics — and that's a licensed job.
